Last week I was lucky enough to spend the week in beautiful Deia, Mallorca running my first Pilates and nutrition retreat courtesy of Bloom retreats.

We started each day with an energising Pilates class with a stunning view of the sea – what better way to wake up?

I for one am really excited about getting my hands on some of the new USA Pro yoga range.

The new Yoga range is made from a unique bamboo fabric that helps you to stay dry – perfect for those hot yoga classes.

My favourite USA Pro item of the moment has got to be these bang on trend Storm print leggings – even as someone who tends to steer clear of bold prints, I’m in love.

It makes such a nice change from my usual plain black capris and I’ve actually had more than one person stop me in the street to ask me where my leggings are from.

It doesn’t need to be a marathon or an extreme ‘tough person’ challenge! Choose something that you’ll enjoy training for make it a realistic goal to work towards. I always find it helps to sign up for events with a friend (or a sister) as I know there’ll always be someone to persuade me to get out there and train – and it makes the time fly having someone to chat with while I’m running!. If you need some ideas of events to sign up for, take a look at my pick of for fitness events this year – or why not create your own challenge with some mates? Two wheels If you prefer being on two wheels than two feet why sign up for one of these cycling events. You’ll get fit, enjoy the great outdoors and raise some money for charity at the same time. Macmillan Cycletta women’s cycling challenge – Taking place in six different locations across the UK from June to September, these all-women events feature routes ranging between 20km - 100km . They’re all in beautiful, family-friendly locations too. Night Ride For something a bit different, you could try the Night Ride in London from 7-8 June. Starting at midnight, you’ll cycle 100km past London’s moonlit landmarks, whilst raising money for your chosen charity. Ommmmmm If you prefer something a bit more chilled, why not attend the Om Yoga Show – this year in London and Manchester. You’ll find free classes with experts from across the globe and the latest exhibitors in Yoga, Pilates, Ayurveda and naturally healthy products. Further afield If you want to escape the weather in the UK and treat yourself to fitness boost at the same time, consider a fitness week or retreat abroad. You could try a yoga and surf break, a runner’s training week or even a full-on silent retreat.
