With summer just around the corner, we’re starting to dream about our summer holidays! To make getting into that bikini feel less daunting we’ve put together our top tips on getting a healthy bikini body!
Cardio, cardio, cardio
When it comes to slimming down, getting your heart-pumping, fast-paced exercises are the most effective. Make sure you choose a form of cardio which gets your heart rate up. Running, rowing, swimming, cycling are all great. Try and do at least 45 to 60 minutes 4 to 5 times per week and you will see results.
Bust your booty
Want to get that rear in shape? Who doesn't. During your work-outs try and focus on squats and exercise that works your thighs doing as many reps as you can at least once or twice a week can really make a difference.
Avoid these foods and drinks
Certain food and drinks are guaranteed to cause your body to bloat, avoid these leading up to your summer holiday- you’ll thank us later. Steer clear of dairy, regular and diet fizzy drinks, sports drinks, and excessive fruit and instead stick to greens like spinach, broccoli, kale, and asparagus, as well as snacks like raw almonds, red peppers, and celery. With drinks only hydrate with water and natural teas.
Don’t count the calories
Try and remember that not all calories are equal. One of the biggest mistakes people make when trying to slim down is treating every calorie the same. Many people think the calories from a cereal bar, are going to be processed by the body the same way the calories from a chicken breast are. This is not true. To maintain a healthy diet, skip processed carbs and excessive fruit or fat. Stick to nutrient-rich, quality calories such as chicken, quinoa and vegetables.
